That's the lesson, in my view. No sense dwelling on national leaders any more. We don't have any--except for the few who stood up Jan. 6, and even they were not able to--did not have the power to--speak the whole truth, and certainly don't have the power to achieve a remedy (restoration of our right to vote!).

We have to recover our right to vote ourselves, locally, state by state. States still have election rules power. Most people would agree that elections should be transparent (and not controlled by Diebold secret source code!). Highly focused, local, grass roots groups, perhaps in alliance with Voters Unite.

Forget John Kerry and the Democrats (except to support the Jan. 6 heroes). If anything, they will permit more erosion of our rights. As far as I'm concerned, they sold our democracy away to BushCon voting machine companies.
