the atmosphere has already shifted (seabeyond's words)and good things are happening...arnheim has got a lot going on with organizing a task group for the next phase. I don't think things have degenerated too far yet or I would be outta here too. I think the positive responses to Jan 6 far outweigh the negative. I still believe...our cause is just.
As for group dynamics, I agree somewhat with "emit" above that you have to allow for people to go through a catharsis period to deal with a big disappointment. It might not be too rational a place to be when a turning point is reached. (Post traumatic syndrome is real). But in this case I take hope from it, because it shows how many out there REALLY care--such great disappointment shows a huge desire for something better...it will settle out and those who are in it for the long haul will stay. Others will take a needed break. We have done a good job here.
Thanks for your insights and perspectives, Will. Check in when you can. Meanwhile I will follow your blog. Thanks for the hippo and the tortoise story--if a hippo and a tortoise can bond after tsunamis in Africa, maybe there's hope for this DU group after the earthquake of Nov 2. Keep on writin. :)
