Haiku story for January 6, 2005

Will there be a voice
For truth, honor, and justice?
One by one they rise.

Servants of Evil
Lying in the face of truth
Their words scrape my heart

Damn their impudence!
And damn, too, my impotence
Tears soften the rage

Seeing more clearly
This was a small victory
The seed has sprouted

Our fledgling movement
It can grow strong, mighty wings
We each have a part.

Onward and Upward!
