22. I was referring to the vote on the Republicans proposed changes
to the ethics rules. It was disgusting. the repubs backed down from out and and saying Tom DeLay would not have to step down if he was indicted, but they changed the rules they originally created while Clinton was in office, so that if there is a tie in the committee over whether someone is indictable or not, the committee has 45 days to bring the matter to fruition. Since the freakin' committee is 5 Dems, 5 Repubs, the Repubs can force the Dems to either drop it or try and investigate, indict and bring to trial in 45 days.

Despite numerous objections and some VERY good reasons why it basically looks as if the Republicans are saying we can no longer play by our own rules so we want to re-invent them it passed because the Dems were pretty much outnumbered. Not one Republican was willing to vote his/her GD conscience. Oh that's right, I forgot, republicans don't have a freakin' conscience. Don't let me EVER forget that again.
