Right now we are like hundreds of leaves, twirling in different directions every time a cool breeze blows. The cool (or extremely cold) breeze blows often. We need a unified voice. A voice made of the people.

I, personally, find it difficult to trust many people once they enter the arena of politics. We can, as a unified group, stand behind our chosen leader, but should they fail, they should NEVER be stronger then we are. WE ARE AMERICA. Voices, Votes, Dreams.

Right now, there is a shout. We are all held safe because too many people are looking toward us. What happens when this shout quiets to a low din again. The shouts will die down in resignation and we will all stand separate and confused. If any one of us were to disappear, would the others know it? Quite a few of us have argued loudly against the powers that be. We are not well known. We are not voices that might be missed.

We all know the new terrorist laws. Who makes these laws? The people we attack here. What is the definition of terrorist? Whatever George Bush says it is. Should he retain power, he will have more power to alter our constitution to his warped agenda. He knows, at best, he is in for four years. He knows if he wants to retain power for his group he has 4 years to do it. They did not cheat, lie and kill for nothing. They have a plan and they know they have 4 years to make their plan a working one.

Democrats need unity. There are, right now, many groups within the group. We need a common voice among them. Each appendage needs to know what the other is doing. And they all need to be able to respond to a call for action unanimously. We live in a huge country. Yes, small groups of like minds will always find each other. But several groups of like minds, cut off from each other, remain "small groups". We can never succeed like this.

I am have been waiting for someone to be the unifier we need. Sadly, my hopes wax and wane on a daily basis. I am tired and we are running out of time. In a few short weeks, we could again be in Bush's world. I will fight that this does not happen but to be unprepare, for any outcome, is vain and foolish.

I want to know i am protected as we wage this battle, buffered by people, who like me, want justice, liberty, peace, stability, hope and freedom.
