4. A similar incomprehensible vote swing took place in Ohio
...late in the evening. Earlier in the evening polling experts used a new computer projection to anticipate Kerry closing the gap in Ohio, making it so close that a Kerry win could not be ruled out. As the closing trend became apparent as Democratic precincts in urban areas began to report, it inexplicably reversed and the Bush gap began to widen substantially in complete opposition to what the experts and their computers projected. Inasmuch as the experts were dumbfounded there wasn't any follow up on why their earlier projections were so widely off the mark.
