15. One suggestion...
Put your action line--what you want them to do--upfront.

Add to your opening line, as follows:

"I write to you today as both a citizen of this country and a defender of her values, to ask you to stand up for our right to vote by signing the petition of the House delegation not to certify the 2004 Ohio election."

--or something like that...let them know what it's about--currently you go on for 4 paragraphs before you get to the point, so they might never get the point, or know why they should read the whole thing.

Other than that, it's a great letter--very moving.
