The Peterson Trial certainly has a following, but its not that people are more interested in the Peterson Trial. Believe me, if this election were covered in real detail, ratings would increase. The Peterson Trial is covered because the media is lazy and it is not controversial and Lacy was pregnant (remember the Lacy Law) etc. No reporter's career is going to be threatened for covering Lacy in contrast the right could decimate any wannabe TV News celeb.

Plus, I think people overlook the fact that the MSM created this perception of a decisive election for Bush. They are invested in the lie, in the lie that the election was nearly error free and came off smooth as silk and that everybody Republicans and Democrats both waited in line the same length of time. Their first second and third goals do not include actually keeping us informed.
