34. Online Petitions are useless people.
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but when was the last time you saw these things make a difference? *crickets* Yeah, that's what I thought when I asked myself the same question. All the stupid FReepers do is go there and sign them, and it makes the whole damn effort look even more futile and lacking in credibility. What we need is action! People need to get out there and lobby their Congressmen like the dammed special interest groups do. They need to take to the streets and raise hell. I'm telling you, online petitions do not work. That's just my two cents. I don't mean to offend anyone, but they do not work -- and especially when one has short term goals. I'll tell you when they work -- when they have big powerful names behind them... Like... Oh! John Kerry's recent appeal for health care for children.
