I would suggest that you supplement your research beyond the Austin Chronicle. I disagreed with them on at least a couple of races.

I voted for Hank Gilbert for Agriculture Commissioner, they endorsed the other candidate Koecadee Melton.
They took no endorsement in Pct County Commissioner, I supported Sarah Eckhardt who won.

It's a good start to read their recommendations, but you should also try to hear the candidates themselves and find out from friends or other groups that have heard from the candidates on their positions and issues.
