Net Neutrality threatened in Michigan

this just in from MoveOn.

It's personalized for my state senator, but you get the idea.

-----------
Dear MoveOn member,

The Democratic victory in Congress was bad news for corporations like AT&T and Comcast, who are trying to kill Net Neutrality and seize control of what we see and do online.

Anticipating a loss in Congress, they're now going to the states—trying to ram a bad bill through Michigan's lame-duck Republican state Senate before it turns Democratic next year. Your state senator, Tony Stamas, will vote on this issue next week and we need to make sure Internet freedom is protected.

Can you email Tony Stamas today with a request to vote NO on the "Michigan Video Franchising Bill" (HB 6456) unless it's amended to protect Net Neutrality?

to act, go to
http://www.senate.michigan.gov/
and click "find your senator".
