JFYI. I'm not affiliated with the store and don't have any clue about the quality of their work/products/courses.

The Alternative Energy Store will offer two workshops in May to teach contractors, electricians and the general public more about installing and using renewable energy technologies. The workshops will be held at Alternative Energy Store's headquarters located at 43 Broad St, Suite A408 in Hudson, Mass.

On the weekend of May 5-6, 2007, the Alternative Energy Store will hold the two-day workshop "Solar Water Heating: From Basics to Installation". Both sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On May 12-13, 2007, a two-day course in "Advanced Photovoltaic (PV) Concepts and Installation" will be offered which is geared towards licensed electricians, contractors and those with a strong basic understanding of renewable energy systems and electrical principles. The workshop will educate attendees in all of the components that make up the solar electric system and how it works, as well as system design, safety and hands-on installation.

Both sessions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $450 which includes a light lunch both days. Renewable energy expert Chris LaForge, an NABCEP certified installer and owner of Great Northern Star renewable energy business in Wisconsin will teach the course.
