Johnson Cty (IA) Repug Sheriff Candidate-Racial Slur on Tape
Advertisements [?]
This is a snip from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, which you can't access fully unless you pay for it. This has been a very hotly contested race with plenty of mudslinging. I have access, so if anyone wants to read the whole thing let me know.
These dumbass repugs are too stupid to shut up when the tape is running.

"Johnson County Republican sheriff candidate Steve Snyder has apologized for using a racial slur while preparing to film campaign commercials this summer.
The remark was made while he was scouting locations on his property for campaign commercials in July. Snyder was standing next to a black horse when he made the comment.
"I'm for diversity, notice I have a n----- horse," Snyder said while the camera was rolling.
Snyder said he'd been running through scripts and reviewing campaign issues, including building a more diverse Sheriff's Department, for more than an hour when he made the statement.
"I made a poor judgment in my choice of words," Snyder said. "I'm not defending the remark in any way."
In a DVD of the footage given to The Gazette, Snyder and others can be heard laughing after the remark, while someone outside the camera's view attempts to quiet them."
