8. Lady Di has to go
State Democrats have been pretty much blackmailing voters for twenty years now, and it has been working. That is why Feinstein has been re-elected. Things have changed now.

The California State Democratic Party is in serious, major trouble. We lost a bad Governor, but worse -- State Demo Leaders made *no adjustment* to what they were doing, to ensure that the Gropenator couldn't do it again. And now he's going to do it again.

We have to do something, and risking a Republican Senator is plenty good enough. Lady Di not only voted for Condie Rice; she INTRODUCED her to the Senate. She voted for Bush's tax reforms, for his idiotic Medicare drug bill givaway, for the Patriot act, and pretty much for anything Bush and his buddies wanted. Losing her would be no problem, and the Senate Democrats wouldn't be any worse off for it. I say Lady Di goes, and as soon as possible.

This doesn't mean that I'm a Berkeley Radical. In fact, I'm moderate on most issues. I just see Feinstein as worse than dead weight to the State Party -- which still BADLY NEEDS TO BE REFORMED.
