Of course, Bayh is more or less a typical Hoosier Democrat (with the exception of Andre Carson)- which is to say, virtually indistinguishable from a Republican on most issues, at least as far as I can tell. I will probably hold my nose and vote for him next year because I don't want a REAL Republican representing us in the Senate (and he is not vulnerable anyway) but I've been pretty disappointed in him as a US Senator- not so much that he doesn't always vote with the party and President Obama but that he FLAUNTS it so much. I think that part of that, of course, is that this IS, well.....Indiana but then again Indiana actually went BLUE last year and helped elect Obama, so I don't know why he feels like he has to take such a hard line against President Obama, particularly since he's actually considered "liberal" by the wingnuts in the state anyway (it's true!!!).

But I totally agree with you. I don't want to see him as POTUS or VP EVER!!!!
