#4 inferred that Senator Nelson doesn't have any right the CHALLENGE the President. He has EVERY right to challenge him, and the president has every right to challenge him back. I was responding to your apparent outrage at the thought that a Senator would DARE to even question the President. Even using all capital letters!

And yes, a single Senator may have the ability to stall legislation. I do not believe the President is, as you suggested, is above the station of a Senator. This is not a monarchy, it is a representative democracy.

If Senator Nelson's constituents don't like what he is doing, they can replace him....It is they who are above him....not the President.
