14. Your opinion.
Mine is that people, all the people who voted for him, wanted him to change Washington. They didn't want him to hang on to the bush ideas. They wanted him to lead, not dither about, wasting our time and his with trying to get republicans to like him. His dithering cost us the ability to keep the electorate framed on who caused the messes we are in. Now, since he spent all that time giving them access to the oval office so they could come out and criticize him, they mix him in with them. My opinion is that he should have done more of telling people that he is having to do this budget and this tax and this program because the last administration screwed up. Instead, he said how much he wanted to work with them. He should have said that he wanted them to work with him. After the election, people knew the republicans were wrong. By trying to "reach out" he just legitimized them. Had he used his immense momentum to point accusing fingers at those who caused this mess, he would have had more of them trying to get out of the way of that finger and lining up behind him.

The OP is in praise of him for seeing the error of his ways and moving quickly into a more productive stance. You can't dance with the devil just to be polite.
