Any of these much more serious offerings....

Eight Years Ago Today: Bush's Broken Promise

Eight years ago today, George W. Bush uttered the now broken promise that has come to define his failed presidency. Accepting his party's nomination, Governor Bush promised to restore "honor and dignity" to the White House. But as events continue to show, a more accurate - and ironic - mantra for the lawless Bush White House would be "no controlling legal authority."

The Broken Promises of George W. Bush
Rhetoric vs. Reality

President Bush made a lot of promises during his 2000 presidential campaign. The record shows it was all talk.

"There are 43 million uninsured Americans – 4 million more than when the current administration took office. George W. Bush will reverse this trend by making health insurance affordable for hard-working, low-income families."

In the first two years Bush was in office, the number of uninsured American increased by nearly four million. Since Bush took office, health insurance premiums have risen by an average rate of 12.5 percent per year. According to a major study, "widespread adoption could drive up the annual deductible paid by workers."

When you have something real come back for a visit, you will find one thing refreshing about DU. When real DU'ers see that there is something smelly from within, we vocally call for action from our own party. Very different from what you may be used to over at FR, where its deny, deny, deny, because republicans are so morally perfect that they could never do any wrong. Go back and do some more research, get back to us when you have something of substance, we might actually agree if its real.

Until then, Alpha Mike Foxtrot.
