I live in the Central part of the state and it sucks. But, I will say that I've seen way more support for Obama than I did for Kerry Edwards in 2004. Some of our Catholic Repub neighbors are going for Obama this time around. My family's in KC and they see a lot of Obama support. I went to Obama's rally in Columbia on Thursday and the turnout was AMAZING. If he can turn out high numbers in KC, St Louis and in Columbia, keep the margins lower where I am and in Springfield, he can eke it out. I promise you that.

There is no question that the fundies in SW and SE Missouri shame us. And, Palin's got them stirred up in a tizzy. But, the Big MO has a long proud Dem history - the roots are strong.

Hubby and I are going to do our part. We'll cast our votes and I signed up to volunteer for Obama on election day to transport folks to the polls. And, I will pray very hard.
