181. what if they ARE accurate?
I don't buy this argument - not all the polls are fixed. This same talk was going on the last couple elections, and the polls weren't off by very much as I recall. The Independants are finally making up their minds. As someone else here said - these people aren't issue-driven, they are personality and sound-bite driven. I experienced this myself today, talking to my mom. She loves Hillary, and is voting for McCain. She fired off a bunch of Faux News soundbites. Dems aren't good at these little catchy lies, and unfortunately at least half of this country are brain dead. The other half are freaked out and donating like crazy. Don't make the mistake of assuming the polls are wrong, or assuming America will see thru the lies; the Dems keep losing because we underestimate and don't fight hard enough. And frankly - Obama is too black, too liberal, and too black for most Americans. His skin color will cost at least 20% of the vote.
