53. frighteningly enough, I think I can make "sense" of her statement
She's used to working real hard up there as governor of Alaska.

She wants to make sure that as vice president of the US, one frail heartbeat away from the presidency, she won't just be an ornament or figurehead. She wants to be sure the job will be meaty enough for somebody of her importance and talent before she'll even consider it.

Also, to be sure that as vice president of the US, she'll be in a position to take care of Alaska, the state on which all of our security, prosperity and freedom, depends. (After all, they have oil, which is all that matters in the world).

Oh. My. God. Somebody please wake us up from this nightmare.
