I don't believe that McCain regardless of the antics of our candidates will in the end get a free ride to the winning position of president. His predecessor has "hurt" far too many american citizens, if he does win it will be by deceit and nothing more.

At this point in time I think those that will vote re pub regardless of the nom will simply because they have been trained to hate the Democratic party period and cannot venture outside this little bubble of ignorance,

Those that do not like our candidates nor McCain and still possess free will simply forgo their vote because they now trust no one..

You must take note that many republicans, even die hard ones have finally been infected and or damaged by bushchos' policies, older citizens have lost income, homes and security..regualr citizens have lost jobs, income, homes and the ability to feel secure toward the future, college grad youth have found themselves unable to find livable wages they once believed possible, veterans have been left to worry that the promises they received from the government they fight for will leave them high and dry...and the list goes on...they are a sinking ship, they could not for all intent and purpose ensure all their once die hard followers would not somehow be swept under the rug in their bid for power and unending cash dividends...

If we lost this election the only reason will be because of foul play you can count on it.
