37. Sweet God, let's hope so! A good old-fashioned "catastrophic collapse" would be
good for their souls (assuming they even have souls).

A DUer several years ago, while we were all working on the 2004 campaign, commented that what the wrong-wing needed very badly, with its fundamentalist Christianists and fascists and selfish, cheapskate assholes and pirates and cheats and warmongers and war profiteers, is "to get the snot beaten out of them." As in - only under such a hugely humiliating public repudiation might they even begin to see the light and repent, or at least try to rejoin the human race. Anything other than a resounding defeat, a smack upside the head and a kick in the teeth, won't get the message through their thick and wicked skulls. They have to get the snot beaten out of them.

Which would be fine by me. No one deserves it more.

Let's hear it for The Great Political Realignment!!!!!!!! (Just not the one kkkarl rove had in mind... :evilgrin: )
