during reagan era, made a hideous racist joke on a cross country flight to Pat Boone, Sonny Bono and ....John Dean. Only John Dean complained about it: media couldn't ignore the explosion of revulsion so Watt's so-called career was finished :) how boone and boono reacted has never been told... 'love letters in the sand' was a pretty good song though :(
