As best I can tell, Michelle said a single sentence "I am proud of my country for the first time" early in the day and Fox News caught it on film. Later in the day, she issued a clarification that was off the cuff. In the longer, more detailed version she uses the phrase "I am really proud of my country." This is one that CSPAN aired without the "really" some places---I don't know if it was deliberate or was just a case of bad CSPAN feed. You can see her lips form the word "really" but you do not hear the word "really" in the third video I link. So, some people may have seen the "bad CSPAN link and assumed that in her definitive "proud" speech she did not say "really", but she really did say "really".

Not knowing about the Fox News version, I assumed at first that Tweety's short clip was the CSPAN version. Now, I think he probably used the FOX News version. Which is not a lie--it is just deceptive. It is like using a candidate's slip of the tongue and ignoring the fact that before press time he has already gone back and corrected it. It is slime ball journalism, intended to distort Michelle's meaning and set her up so that Pat Buchanan could provide the "conservative commentary" to the Democratic front runner's wife. Buchanan wanted to claim that Michelle is all Black all the time and the only thing she can take pride in is something to do with Black folks. Buchanan is a racist SOB who will be living his greatest glory--the Southern Strategy--until the day he dies.

Watching the Once and Future Nixon Dirty Tricks Master and Chris Tweety Matthews attempt to mind fuck the viewers of MSNBC has got to be one of the most disturbing things that you can see--esp. since their intention this time was to encourage voters to hurry to the polls in Wisconsin before it closed, register to vote and pull that lever for Hillary in order to give her the win/win or the loss/win. Watching Karl Rove do it is even worse. Luckily, everyone knows when he is doing it. But a lot of people are fooled by Buchanan and Tweety and their insane little giggles. Note that when KO fussed at Tweety later in the evening for being rude to the Texas State Senator, Tweety treated it like a joke. Like he was just having fun. Playing hard ball. "Just me and the boys, having a fun game of ball."
