2. My number 1 issue is....
.....jobs, good paying jobs with benefits, How are we going to ge them back? I'm not hearing a word concerning this issue. Let me qualify that by saying that I am a retired millionaire, but I want today's kids to have the same opportunity I had that made my prosperity possible. Without those jobs, America is lost. I came from a lower middle-class blue-collar family who lived from paycheck to paycheck. I worked as a steelworker for 12 yrs and a machinist for 20 yrs. I saved more than the average person, I have never owned a new car or home, and I never bought the gadgets that some hold so dear. I was frugal. Now, I am enjoying the fruits that those sacrifices provided. My generation had that opportunity...most didn't follow the same road I did, but a lot had the chance to. All I want is for todays kids to have that same opportunity, and without jobs that pay a living wage and have some benefits, they will not have that opportunity.
