It depends on what you're talking about, and it also depends on what REALLY transpired in the past.

THIS year, thanks to the Internet, some of us got to see some really filthy tricks from the Dem side against other Dems they were terrified of. THIS year some of us got to see how the Party Insiders still control who gets the nomination despite the charade of all those primaries and caucuses where "the people" are given a choice in name only.

Has that happened in the past on the Dem side against Dems? I don't know -- do you? If not, then this is the worst EVER. If it has happened in the past, then :shrug: ain't no big deal, I suppose. Except that I want none of it.

Or if you're just talking about the debates and intraparty candidate squabbling, it's probably a little better than some other years. With the exception of the Osama ad, of course.

But not that many people here at DU care about that. Just "politics as usual," or "all's fair in love and war...and politics" or "so what, my guy won" to them.
