My sense of the (political aspects) of the latest terror plot .......

I DO believe the plot is essentially as has been reported.

I DO believe it was real and I believe, if they could have, the bad guys would have.

I DO believe the timing of the arrests was absolutely apolitical and was the result of some investigative development that made *today* the day to do the big bust.

I do NOT believe the cabal caused this, timed this, delayed this, advanced this, or in any political way controlled it.

I DO believe they knew about it before today. I do believe they knew the bust would be today, or maybe tomorrow.

I DO believe they used the time from when the Brits told them to now to write the spin script. I believe that Mehlman knew it in advance of the rest of us (a security leak?) and framed his most recent rantings to fit the situation.

I DO believe Darth knew this when he made his latest utterances.

I DO believe they spun the Lamont thing in a way to fit perfectly with the plot's being made public.

I DO believe they have no particular interest in whether or not this thing ever goes so far as to nab all the bad guys. For them, the good that they could wring from it (for them) has been wrung.

I DO believe these people - these political terrorists that we suffer under as our 'government' - would take advantage of their mother's breast cancer if it stood to help them gain and retain ever more power.
