Believe me I paid attention and not just to the corporate media. Do you think I'm some cretin that only gets the news from Faux? Quit trying to insult my intelligence.
To fight back against a political smear campaign you have to retaliate immediately and with a mushroom cloud. That will bring the media on board. A few paragraphs in a speech by the candidate isn't going to do it. And I don't mean just Kerry either. I mean his whole campaign organization simply failed. And Kerry was the leader so he is to blame.
The TANG story got different treatment because the Repugs counter-attacked immediately and overwhelmingly. They had every mouthpiece attacking the message and the messenger in unison. That kind of response always gets coverage.
