136. Not unusual for female politicians to schmooze that way
Not saying all women do it, obviously, but I know a few local politicians here in Austin that speak to me that way every time I meet them. They are all Democrats. They lean close, they put their hands suggestively on my arm or lower back, the push against me and flirt, they lower their voices... it's pretty standard faire. In a bar I'd swear they were hitting on me, but in a political situation I realize they are just trying to charm me, to gain my support (this was when my support meant something to them).

Politicians use whatever they have to influence people who can help them. Men with that type of charm use it. Women with that type of charm do, too. Harris was talking to a young reporter so she wanted a favorable impression from him. So she poured on the flirtacious charm. Works on a lot of guys. Fails on a lot, too.

This won't be covered by the MSM because it's nothing. Reporters have seen it frequently, and I wouldn't be surprised if Hillary does it. Or the Kerry and Gore daughters. Heck, I've met reporters who do it themselves. You use what you have.

Now, if that's a room key she's holding out for him, or if they've got footage inside a hotel room, that's a different story. :) But if this is all there is, then no one's going to cover it.
