"Personal Accounts Is Not The Permanent Fix"

Washington, DC – In an interview with local reporters this week, President George W. Bush publicly admitted that his plan to privatize Social Security does nothing to strengthen the program’s long term solvency. Though Democratic and Republican lawmakers have both criticized the President’s plan for not addressing solvency, this is the first time the President has conceded that fact.

WE COULDN'T AGREE MORE
"What the individual accounts won't do, Bush acknowledged, is solve Social Security's long-term funding shortfall. 'It's important for people to understand that personal accounts is not the permanent fix,' he said."
