Trippi shaped a lot of that campaign. Anything internet releated (sic) I believe was Trippi's idea to impliment on the campaign. So I don't think it's fair to say that Dean was the campaign and that's all. Trippi had a lot to do with making that campaign what it was.

I have no first-hand knowledge either way. But on the Kerry campaign, I did hear ex-Dean staff claim that many of the "internet innovations" Trippi is usually credited for, didn't originate with Trippi.

Again, that's all at second-hand, and the people I heard this from virulently disliked Trippi, so take it for what it's worth.
