Read ANY objective book on the Bushes and you will note that the only dynamic REQUIRED for a close working relationship with them is for the OTHER person to take the heat and fall on the grenade to protect the Bush.
Libby situation is more dog and pony and I've said so since the beginning. Cheney knows full well that if Libby HAD been pardoned it would prompt hearings in a congress they no longer controlled (a;a Marc Rich). Neither Bush or Cheney would want that. This 'split' with Bush over Libby certainly got alot of media attention. If there really HAD been a split it would have been downplayed immediately by BushInc.
