I dislike beauty contests of any type, but especially so in the context of politics. It seems a very blatant sort of dumbing-down.
I'd like for people to be encouraged to think of policies when they think of politicians, not looks.
I'm sure we can all agree that looks are not something that should be a criterion when electing politicians. I'm also sure no one would argue that they are nevertheless used as such. I'm not saying that attractive politicians don't deserve to hold the offices they do... but it's more than possible that some if not most do not. That they might have been selected over less-attractive challengers for no other reason than looks. It seems to me that exercises like these only reinforce this kind of superficiality.
Anyway like I said, I don't like beauty contests of any type. For men or women. For me, this is certainly not about Hillary.
