2. The President can not change the World in just 2 weeks
I take every opportunity to slap down Republican lies. All Democratic supporters need to do the same. The brilliant Political machine of Obama was the Party wanting to win. It must keep its fire and defend itself.

The Recovery and Reinvestment Act just shows how organised Republicans are.

Democratic Congressional members (namely Senate) just cow tow to Repugs and allow them to win the battle of presentation. There is no need to be afraid of them. This should be a lesson to all. (Kerry again comes out of this brilliantly for his defence of the bill on tv).

If we lose the agenda already, EMCA and UHC get added to the list below.


Senate Spending Cuts From House Version

* $300 million to modernize USDA 100% cut
* $100 million research USDA 100% cut
* $750 million NASA 50% cut
* $1.4 billion, Nat Science Foundation, 100% cut
* $427 million, NOAA, 35% cut
* $150 million, VAWA, 50% cut
* $450 million, Police wireless radios, 50% cut
Rural Drug Enforcement, Border gunner program, internet crimes, etc., 50% cut

* $5 billion, Wellness & Prevention, HIV, Diabetes screen, smoking, flu, etc., 90% cut
* $200 million Filipino vets, 100% cut
