17. Not if you did not make the decisions in the first place
The people who are being fired are workers, and they did not make those editorial decisions that we dislike anymore than the UAW workers designed the cars that people did not like. Firing workers, many of whom are Union, for the mistakes and even crimes of the top dogs is not holding anyone responsible anymore than shutting down UAW holds the guilty to account.
Celebrating some writer or camera operator's unemployment for the sake of his or her boss's actions is not right. Ever.
Just something to think about. It is an industry like others, with working people and big executives. Lots of Union jobs for family people. To me this is a sad story.
