Until now, I've never had such a dim view of the media

This morning, I checked both MSNBC and CNN's webpages to see what they had to say about the Bush National Guard documents. Both of them are using an AP story to call into question the authenticity of the documents.

In both of the stories, the "th" in the 111th squadron is used as evidence of a forgery. And yet as Walt Starr pointed out, even the documents that Bush used to attempt to prove his time in the Guard had some superscripted "th's".

The so-called media seems unable to do any research. This is so incredibly frustrating- they are taking an expert's word that the ability to proportional space and to superscript and to have a Times New Roman-like font were not possible back in the early 70's.

I've never used the Media Blaster before, but I'm assuming that it would be useful in situations like this? There is a part of me that still believes that the American people can have an effect on the media. There is now a bigger part of me that is losing hope in the media.
