3. For an excellent overview of Republican techniques: Stealing America: Vote by Vote
www.stealingamericathemovie.com is a very calm and concise over view of the several techniques Republicans have used in recent elections to manipulate the vote. It also provides some historical comparisons. It is not bombastic, just sober and factual, with memorable information.

It also shows clips of the news coverage during recent elections. That was painful because I remember the feelings of watching reporters say things were going smoothly when we here on DU and other sites were hearing about all kinds of anomalies, glitches and delaying tactics all over the country, being perpetrated in Democratic districts while Republican areas had lots of machines and voted quickly.

This 90 minute documentary illustrates the main techniques Republicans have used recently, including:

(1) Cyber-crime-- slipping malicious code into the systems at various points is still too easy. The documentary has great charts and graphs showing the magnitude of some of the vote switching glitches, compared to probability. And explores the oddity that the glitches "coincidentally" turned out to favor the Republicans almost all the time.

(2) Uncounted ballots -- hundreds of thousands of provisional ballots, or "spoiled" ballots are not counted

(3) Creating delays at the polling places-- sending Republican operatives to Democratic precincts to challenge the validity of voter registrations, thus creating longer and longer lines which reduce the numbers of Democratic votes when people have to give up and can't wait for hours and hours to vote.

(4) Caging lists -- targeting certain demographics to purge from voter rolls.

================== THE OBAMA CAMP KNOWS ABOUT THESE ISSUES ============

Most Americans don't want to face these facts. So while some Democrats studied the evidence and pushed to change things, many did not. We needed all Democrats to have pushed for auditable paper trails or paper ballots, but they didn't, so we still have an insecure system with many of the same vulnerabilities as in 2004. If electronic systems are used, they need paper trails and open software code. Too much secrecy right now. And no paper trail in many cases. Too easy to hack. Urge your legislators to PUSH FOR PAPER BALLOTS for future elections.

OBAMA WILL HAVE LEGAL TEAMS MONITORING THE RESULTS. His campaign is aware of election fraud issues. I hope the public and especially his fellow Democrats will be patient and RESIST THE RUSH TO CONCEDE FROM THE REPUBLICANS. If they rig this election too, they will be pushing to get the Dems to concede and will be itching to run their victory parade. Please urge your representatives in Congress to be patient and support all efforts to investigate the accuracy of the vote.

My secret hope is that Republicans will realize they need Democrats to clean up their messes and get the budget back to surplus and move the country quickly to alternative energy development and they'll let us win this one.
