Reply #18: Rudi was good for NYC, be sure of that.

Its his actions AFTER he left office and joined the national GOP nonsense that's troubling.

There were a lot of shady aspects to him and his governorship of NYC, like all big city mayors. Look at Chicago's currently Daley for an example.

Daley and Rudi are (or "were" in Rudi's case) just mayors of their respective cities. Their party is incidental, Daley isn't very Democratic like in some areas and in others he is. Just like Rudi's tenure in NYC. Rudi has a surprising progressive streak. But when he left office and hitched his wagon to the GOP elephant train, that's when he changed for the worse and became a whore for the circus masters.

Its a pity, I used to like Rudi (having lived in New York State for most of his tenure), now I despise him.
