95. Once, while out for a walk in Fremont, a couple ran over to me
to ask how to get back downtown. I thought for moment and said that there is a bus stop a block up the street on the other side and suggested they only needed to wait there for a short spell to catch the next bus, which would take them there directly. The man started yelling agitatedly toward me as they jaywalked across the street -- something about, "you aren't lying are you? I don't trust you liberal city people; you might want to send me the wrong way." He kept yelling at me from across the street as I was trying to go about my business. "Are you certain that is the right direction? You better not be trying to trick me!" "I just yelled back, "Why exactly would I want to do that?" and then, "Figure it out yourself!" when he persisted with his idiocy and intrusiveness.
