It is time to get behind the presumptive nominee

I have my qualms about this centrist (not that I didn't have them about his opponent either) and why I never got behind either of them

But the math is clear...

Barack Obama is the candidate. Therefore I am now for him... and will vote for him in November.

Yes, there is a chance she could pull it off... if she takes 75% of votes in the rest of the contests... that ain't gonna happen... historically the highest numbers ANY candidate has ever gotten is in the mid sixties, that is off by ten points.

So yes, we do have a nominee... on to McCain and the RIGHT WING...

Oh and folks, from the last 36 hours... I expect the most committed of the Hillary Clinton base to leave the Democratic party the same way the dixicrats left. In fact, given the surreal comments from the campaign, I will not be too shocked if many in her staff, or even her, do that when all is said and done. A hell of a record to be remembered for NOT.

There is nothing we can do about that. This is realignment, and the type that happens every so often in the US, about once a generation to be exact... yes, it is to that level. The side that looses that kind of a realignment usually leave one party for the other stamping feet and throwing a tantrum or quietly leave power. What we are seeing, possibly. and I hope I am right, is the end of power for the DLC... and about bloody time.

I don't think we will see that radical of a change in DC... not after 2006... but perhaps circumstances will force the new administration to do such... after all, I keep reminding myself FDR DID NOT run on the New Deal Platform... but indeed, assuming we win the election, in November, and we should... this should be the dawn of a new era... and perhaps a switch to the left... and the center moving to the center and away from the extreme right where it right now resides.
