Barack has been building up his grassroots efforts and has tons of volunteers (his "precinct captains") ready to go in every state. We had thousands just in Houston alone. Not that Texas will go dem, but at least it will be closer than it's been in the past. There is real value in registering more new voters, harnessing all that energy, getting those people involved locally, and encouraging them to be involved with the DNC, and issues after the campaign. So, yes, I can see value in just letting it play out.
