95. I agree with you on that point. I sometimes think we let our enthusiasm overcome our
common sense and past experience in presidential campaigns. Weren't we all in a daze when Kerry got Swiftboated successfully? Those of us who knew full well that Kerry had enemies because of his antiwar activities were probably not as dazed as younger DUers, but we pushed our fears to one side. Then, of course, it happened. And the perfectly timed CBS TANG memo. And we just loved Teresa, despite what fears we may have had about her temperament and her "foreignness." No, we were good little doobees...
