231. Woke up, grabbed coffee, sat down and saw this topic.
Read the opening header and my jaw dropped in disbelief. Opened the topic, began reading responses, then viewed the video.

I've never addressed the issue of racism on DU in any way, shape or form. I understand that certain topics trigger deep feelings, beliefs, and emotions in people.

But for me, this morning, this is a watershed moment. I've no doubt that Bill Clinton has jumped the shark, that his statement was racially coded, and that it was deliberately made.

I am so sad, so angry, and in tears as I type. I've come to expect this from the GOP; but in my lifetime, I've never expected this from any Democrat, much less our ex-potus. By and through his nasty, race-baited utterance, the Emperor has become naked.

And don't tell me HRC is not responsible for what her husband says. His ass could be parked on the sidelines and his mouth taped shut. His words could be scripted -- no more spontaneous, off the cuff remarks. No, his speeches are crafted, his words deliberately spoken, and her campaigns tone is now beyond disgraceful... it vile, it is base, it is shameful, it is pure and utterly indefensible. Nothing less than a full apology from Bill Clinton and removal from any further campaigning will suffice as far as I am concerned.

Simply put, I am appalled.
