Saying that Clinton is playing the race card with this remark is sheer -- I can't think of a word to describe it. It must be a kind cult induced lunacy.

Bill Clinton was obviously RIDICULING Obama by pointing out that IT"S OBVIOUS that he doesn't take money from oil companies because IT"S ILLEGAL to do so. STEALING CARS is illegal too. You don't see him running an ad saying HEY GUESS WHAT. I DON"T STEAL CARS.

NO POLITICIAN STEALS CARs. NO POLITICIANS TAKE MONEY from OIL COMPANIES>

You know what I think is going on here, maybe. Obamanuts reason like this (well, if you can call what they do reasoning).

Bill or HIllary or somebody criticizes Barack. Obamaphiles think St Obama is above all criticism. They regard all criticism as sacrilege against their idol. They also seem to assume that any criticism of Obama MUST be an appeal to white rednecks. So they see racialized subtexts everywhere.

Of course, they are often the one's doing the racializing. It's sort of a Freudian reaction-formation kind of thing.
