60. Did you actually see the speech?
If you thought the sentence you posted was the "most disastrous sentence in the speech", you didn't watch or listen to the speech.

It was a complicated speech that treaded a lot of ground where most fear to tread. He was honorable, fair, intelligent, inspirational and succinct in dealing with the parameters of race issues. It wasn't fiery, it wasn't barn-storming, it wasn't shrill or angry or even accusatory.

I would suggest you watch or listen to the speech again with a fair mind.
