218. Perception is everything. Even with dark sunglasses.
This hatefulness toward a fellow democrat is not doing Hillary Clinton any good. I feel a sense of things coming together in a positive way when Barack speaks. Obviously you don't.

This is exactly why so many spiritual leaders talk about clearing the passions and desires away in order to see the truth. How do either of us know that what we are seeing is the truth? I would say that your rejection of the man, Barack Obama, has colored your perception, filtered out anything that would contradict what it is you want to believe. And I know you could say the same thing about me. So that begs the question of what really is the truth about these candidates we have to choose between. And since Reverend Wright has been thrust into our perceptions, what really is the truth about him? I suspect it would take more than the sound bites we are getting to answer that question in full honesty.

*Your* denouncement of Reverend Wright appears off-the-cuff. I imagine it would be a bit uncomfortable having to eat those words if you met him in person and found him to be rather cordial toward you.
