18. I Can Understand That. But It's Not The 95% Of Her That Matters.
I listen to her speeches and am often times inspired. I think she has some great qualities and convictions. What I'm concerned about, is the 5% of her that isn't quite refined to where it needs to be. Why am I concerned? Because in the heat of a general election, the wrong comment, whether in or out of context, at the right time, can literally sink an entire campaign. That's what I'm concerned about. November is too damn important. Now granted, for people like us here on DU, it is easy to see why she'd be well liked. But it's gonna take a HELL of a lot more than people like us to win in November, and if she says or does the wrong thing, it could destroy our chances.

And lest someone think I'm joking or being overdramatic, I'm not. Think about: If this was in the thick of the General Election, and even as a joke she said she wanted to rip McCain's eyes out while making a clawing motion, do you have any idea how quickly that would be used against us? Any idea how quickly something like that would spread like wildfire and be whored up by the media? How much damage that could do that the potential first lady said she wanted to rip the eyes out of a perceived war hero? Now granted, she didn't say that about McCain, she said it about Bill. But she could've, and has the potential to. That's my concern. Because comments like that, even as jokes, can be used as HUGE ammunition against us.

We have a tremendous shot at winning the white house. We HAVE to do this. We just HAVE to. We have to start undoing all this damage. I don't want anything reckless putting that at risk, and I'm sorry if others disagree, but I absolutely consider her comments at time to be reckless. It only takes one stellanoir... To sink our whole campaign it only takes one...
