The current climate here is a part of that proccess. They know to target "cultural influentials" which is the term for us here.
Every person they turn into frothing assholes or dispirited cynics can effect 10 fold, with exponential growth outward.

This is also the way that "astroturf" works, with fake grass roots orgs.

They FEAR the new voters that are coming in with Obama, more than they fear Obama himself.
Clinton's are a known commodity to them, and they know how to raise money in that ecosystem, but the demographics are against them.
