378. These are kids who are star-struck by a charismatic candidate....
and I was wondering who directed all of the Obamoonies to DU to spam the board with ridiculous post after post. Hundreds of newbies, all directed to DU to spam the hell out of it. Great, thanks. :eyes:

The thing with the Obamoonies is, they have NO sense of practical political necessity. Let me explain that. The Obamoonies (for the most part) are a bunch of political neophytes who have been drawn into the political process by the appearance of a "rock star", a "messsiah" who strikes their emotional heart-strings; Barack Obama. That's a good thing, IF, they stay in contact with the Democratic party no matter who wins the nomination. But they won't. I've read SOOO many posts here by Obama's acolytes saying, "well if Hillary wins, I'll NEVER vote for her". And therein lies the rub. These are NOT people committed to returning the White House to Democratic control. Their only concern is getting their messiah into office. If Clinton were to win the nomination they'd stay home and wouldn't vote. If they can't have their way, they'll hold their breath until they turn blue and stay home, rather than vote for the "evil" Hillary. :sarcasm:

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad they're being drawn in to the Democratic process, but they need to realize that ANY Democrat elected to the office of President is FAR better than any Republican. But their loyalty to the Democratic Party begins and ends with Obama.

On the other hand, if Obama wins the nomination the Hillary supporters will still turn out in droves to elect a Democratic President. They're more mature voters, many have been voting for decades, and understand the practical political necessity of returning a Democrat to the White House. They're DEMOCRATS, not star-struck fans of a charismatic candidate.

That's the difference between many Obama supporters and Clinton supporters, as I see it. And I don't think I'm wrong about this, as is evidenced by the OP's plaintive damnation of Clinton supporters who have been "mean" to their neophyte Obama acolytes.

Suck it up kids. If you think Hillary supporters are "mean" and make you cry, just wait until the right-wing attack machine starts in on your young Mr. Obama. They'll drive you into the loony bin. Talk about people who are "mean" and don't fight fair? If you can't take the heat, stay the hell out of the kitchen because it's only going to get a lot more rough from here on out.

I'm a Democrat, and will vote for whoever our process anoints as our ultimate candidate. Can, or WILL, the Obama supporters say the same? No, I thought not.
